Many may not be seeing the signs around us, but if they read this short article they should have their eyes opened. Many sheeple I have spoken to have said that "America survived The Great Depression in 1929 and we can do it again". I have no doubt that Americans can pull themselves up by the bootstraps but after reading this article I can see why it will be a lot harder this time around. The sheeple of America needs to WAKE UP.

I am a successful small businessman and a patriot who loves America and always sees its greatness. I am also an optimistic, positive thinker who always sees the glass half full.

But not this time.

I predicted doom if Obama was elected. Sadly the results are far worse than imagined. The economy is in shambles. America is staring at economic disaster -- Armageddon. Even me, the eternal optimist is scared at what the future holds. We are the Titanic, headed straight for the iceberg.

America has always been a land of boom and bust. It

He didn't even mention that in 1929 most people lived RURAL or on farms, now the opposite by multiples. In 1929 people knew how to make bread, cheese, can foods, garden, raise livestock, make do... Now, many can't even do without pre-prepared foods... In 1929, things like HONOR, honesty, and doing the right thing was the norm, now the opposite...

If all the profits of doom (pun intended) are right, then it will be unlike anything the world has ever seen...

The sheeple won't wake up as long as the various pacifiers are stuck firmly in their mouth: American Idol, Justin Berber (or whatever the heck his name is), the latest politician scandal (Weiner), the most recent Hollywood couples who are getting married/divorced, and on and on it goes. If I didn't fear for my wife's health (Type-1 diabetes) I would welcome a great depression. Thinning the herd of the clueless and useless would be great.

I have heard this many many times from numerous sources. I do not know if I should be worried, but I am starting to think the same thing...

The solution is simple- cut government, cut spending, cut entitlements, cut taxes, stop the wars, end the Fed, term limit politicians, and back the dollar with a gold standard. Or, like so many other great empires of history, America may never recover from this Greatest of All Depressions that Obama is driving us directly toward.

The thing about that "simple solution" is, is that it would still create a great chaos. Making the cuts that need to be made will be deep and wide and felt for generations to come. A great correction is coming, and even if we save the republic it will still be a game changer..

Darn it... Here I was feeling pretty good - Just watched Barack on the news, saying how he's hard at work trying to fix the economy..... And now I read this thread, and feel bad again!

your first mistake was believing anything Obama had to say, presidents can't fix the economy, manufacturing jobs can, but presidents don't hire anyone. Americans have to realize that the day of making 25 per hr plus bennies for just hanging around the time clock are gone if they want to work, but if we work for 10 bucks an hr, we couldn't pay all the government workers who are making 25 per hr.The troops should all be brought home,but there are no jobs for them, it would just be another million taking out of the system, either in pay cks or unemployment. The powers that be have dug us a hole with help from half the people and the public unions.

With all the millions who are on the entitlement trips and programs there is going to be some interesting riots when the goverment cow runs dry! Many think they deserve what we have earned " Its not fair! Just look at what you have!" I am afraid the only silver lining most of us will see is where the blueing and parkerized coatings have worn off our firearms !!

My eyes were opened about six months ago and I have been prepping as much as my paychecks will stretch to cover. I put in a back yard garden, started raising chickens, I even called my grandma and got a crash coarse in canning and drying the food coming out of my garden. I even took up extreme coupling in order to make my prepping dollars stretch further. I am prepping for a family of six and I am scared to death that I didn't wake up soon enough to be prepared enough for my family to survive the H** that is inevitably coming. I want to see the end of the Fed and a restoration of America, I would just like to have a little more time to get better prepared.

Welcome Echelleg. Let not your heart be troubled. Getting yourself into a panic doesn't help anyone. You are doing all of the correct things, you are awake and aware, that is better than most of the zombies out there. This is a good group of folks, we will all get through this together.
