Drat I found this thread too late!!!! Argh!! Can you put up a different angle pic of the lock along with its proper name? I want to try and find a source online for these materials and it will be easier to know the proper name. Great instructions and tips! Thanks!!
The lock is a surelock. there are alot of great locks out there. the micro lock is good. On my trapline for coons i prefer a sure lock as the locks are inexpensive. for my coyote/fox/bobcat snare line i prefer a camlock with a Break away s hook to release deer but in a SHTF situation you wouldn't want to release the deer and there are ways to get around that im just figureing out how i can teach that on here legally LOL.
I like two companies for my trapping products the main one is Minnesota trap line products www.minntrapprod.com and the snare shop www.snareshop.com
to make this funner the first person who guesses what state i am from gets sent for free all the cable and components to make a dozen snares.
Coyotewhisperer ROCKS! Very generous of you. Actually sent me 13 snares plus two smaller rabbit snares. It's gonna be fun puting this together with my son. Thanks again!
