I saw the pictures on the news yesterday & it's just horrible. It's going to be a long, hard road to rebuild. I pray for God to comfort & sustain them.

We made it through in one piece last night in west Georgia. Fortunately we fell into a pocket where the storms went north and south of our location by about 10 miles. There are thousands of our fellow southeasterners not nearly as fortunate. Our prayers are with all the families that were impacted by the tornadoes.

I'm at a lose for words after see some of the pic's, these are bibilical storms we are seeing. America has never seen these kind of storms before. A few feeks ago the south ,saw record storms, and here we go agian! SCARY! All we can do is pray.........................

Having family in Tuscaloosa, Al I was relieved to know my family was safe. However, most people lost family, friends, property, and belongings. Cullman, Al also suffered, as well as those in Mississippi, and Georgia. God give them strength to get through the days ahead.

And almost exactly an hour and a half after I posted this, we got hit. 1 bad one about 15 miles north and another, way too close to me, 2 miles south. I was on the porch when the rain stopped, I went in to tell my wife something was not right. No more than 2 mins later, the tall pines at my neighbors were at a 45 degree angle. I went into the front porch and the wind had to be blowing 70+ MPH. It got real scary. I went back in, got my 3 year old and put him in the room with my wife, ready to jump in the closet at my call. I stood on the front porch listening and watching. Then our power went out, and my phone started ringing, it was headed straight for me. By the grace of gods h ands, it missed us by less than 2 miles. About 2 mins of hell was over and went back out on the back porch and could see this whirling monster of debris to the east of me when the lightning struck. I watched a cloud move sideways!!! The devastation we got down here in my county was unreal. Just less than 3 miles from me, our gas station is leveled and many homes along that path. Our power was out for 12 hours and our internet for 2 days. It sucks I had to go to Richmond for work and had to leave my wife and child here, but she had everything she needed and luckily had no problems. I will try to post some pics if I can figure out how to.

Thanks Matt. Whats wild is the radar didn't even have one near us and then....BOOM!!! it was here. The devastation less than 6 miles from me looks like someone dropped a bomb....

Thats the way they work. It doesn't take long for one to spin up, usually just a few minutes tops! I've been thru alot of them over my lifetime. I feel bad for the loses everyone suffers in them and have prayed for them.

get ready for higher insurance bills on your house. i'd guess 10 to 15 percent higher
i thought the gov. said no inflation/higher cost of living!
