I would have to agree, the first movie sort of just leavs you hanging. They have started filming the second movie. I'm not sure how many movies it will take to finish the book though. The first movie didn't get very far into the book. It is on Netflix now so I've seen it twice now. Once at the theater and once on Netflix.

The first movie ends where it does in the book. They had to update the visuals so as not to seem anachronistic.

I sat and read the book in se7en days. Of course, being single, I have that luxury. Considering supposed time limits, I thought they did well. Lots of stuff left out.

As for the religious portions of the book, to each their own. How much of the Word today has been subjugated and twisted for the benefit of the "leaders"?

Watched it on Netflix (pretty good movie), but left you hanging. I have had the book for
about a year now but can't seem
        to start it.

I got the audio book from the local library and listened to it at work :) The speaker did a pretty good imo.

Ok so I watched it last night...not bad, wish they would have shown more of the back story but...the leaving me hanging doesn't bother me on movies that are long like this one (LOTR comes to mind at the end of part one). I rented it for a dollar...not sure I would go to the movies for it or not...maybe if it would have been a 2 hour movie.

Yeah, I saw it a few weeks back on Netflix streaming... All right, but the hanging end was aggravating. At first the good people appeared to be rich jerks with bigger jerks around them, but then they fell into their roles as I would expect from Ayn Rand.

I have the book in epub format on my e-Reader. Saving it for something to read in the Apocalypse... LOL!

It was ok. It followed the book pretty closely, the book is really wordy, the movie took 30 seconds to show what the author had to use alottt of pages to describe. I just wish they would hurry up with pt. 2

It was a good movie, hard to find movies that don't preach socialism. Part 2 should be out in October of this year, just in time for the election.
