Things to buy if you had the money!

Trying to look at different things we haven't posted about a million times!, and trying to keep everyone on track, and not to get bored about the same food, bucket, water, ammo, ect.,ect. question! Sure there is alot of stuff to learn, from new people, But we need to start looking outside the box, cuz we are starting to get repetitive on this forum and it's getting boring. Sorry to say! I love this place and we have alot of good minds on this forum, I have learned alot! But, we need to juice it up! Somehow! Maybe solar, water, wind, gas, edible plants, ect. You see my point. Start digging folks! Wheat, sugar, salt, beans, ect. are getting boring. We will lose alot of good people, if thats all we talk about. And, I don't want that! I want people to tell ALL! , If you have ALL, Post ALL!:cool: Let's see it!, for all! I'll start! Buying that little stupid wood gas stove, that was junk, got me looking into an area, I had no idea about. http://victorygasifier.com/ , this has been around forever, and never heard about it. You can heat, cool, run your car or truck, hot water, electric, blah, blah, blah! Got someting differnet? Post it! Would love to hear about it!

I'm thinking about making or buying a wood fired steam engine, it wouldn't have to be very big, just enough power to run things like the generator or even an auto altenator which i could turn to 120 with an inverter. Solar,wind would be out of the question here and a waste of money.\
with a wood fired boiled, it could be used anytime a nd the extra heat could heat the house and some hot water.

This may not be an "If I had the money" question, but it is a little different question. I have a friend who is a P.A. and we were talking about "things" going on in the world, and he seemed willing to write some scripts for meds to keep at home and my BOB depending on what it is. He will not write for any narcotic or controlled med, but the other types are open to discussion. Things like antibiotics, burn creams, insulin, stuff like that. My question is "what would you like to keep at home and\or your BOB if you could?"

I'd buy a solar system capable of running 2 homes. I'd build an air conditioned shed and stuff it full of food!

Completely off grid homestead with about 50 acres of crop/pasture land and about 50 acres in hardwoods. Along with the ultimate garage/workshop/basement/bunker/shelter. I would really like to be out of debt with no payments!

FWIW, yes you do see some of the same questions come up regularly. It happens everywhere. Why? Because new people are always coming in and also, lots of people just hang out and "play survivalist" for years. Then the economy goes in the toilet, then riots break out in Europe, then Japan has a nuclear meltdown, then the SHTF in the mideast, then.... all those that were just "playing" have to start playing catch up. So they ask similar/same questions also.

I don't personally mind it, I've answered the same questions about DIY food storage for well over a decade on the net...

I would probably use the money to sell my house and go some place with a new fortified and well soiled homestead.

I would solar power my home and stock up on ammo of course.
