Yep them bugs is nasty, I've been a member of the Giridia Club (an actual website I saw today) in the past. I hate the stomach cramps the most. Better to burn a little extra fuel to avoid the 'mess'.

I do know that any bacteria can't survive past 180 F. Now, unless you have some super virus then that might not work but if you have a super virus in your water then you probably have it everywhere else.
