127 Hours- What was your big moment?

I'm sitting here watching 127 Hours. He's just laid out his gear and I noticed he has no medical supplies and very little water.

It's stuff like this that makes me glad I prep.

My big moment came after watching everyone in the dome after Katrina.

What was yours?

Aron Rolston is the man. Yeah he made the mistake of not taking enough gear or better yet,letting anyone know where he went. But that man has more balls than anyone, the WILL to LIVE overcame everything. I watched that movie last week and loved it. I am an avid backpacker and mountain biker so it kinda hit home for me and my wife. ANYTIME I hit the trail or the woods, I always have a pack with me. It includes just some basics for biking and a 4 day kit for backpacking, (usually go for a weekend). That being said, I think I have enough smarts and common sense to A) Not get myself into stupid situations and B.) Let people know where I am going and usually bring a friend with me. But sometimes Murphy shows up and I just hope and pray that all of my preparations, knowledge and training save my butt or a person that is with me.


I gave that movie 1 THUMBS UP!!! LOL

My big moment was was when he stuck the knife in his arm and felt bone....you could see that he knew he was going to have to rethink the strategy.

My moment was when the Obama/Pelosi/Reid stimulus package was passed. I was already on edge from the George W. Bush era of "fake" conservatives. But the Obama administration really made me realize that financial instability in this country and the carelessness our supposed leaders have for it.

To be very honestly I don't Skyline movie.
Worst Scripting, bad characters, no good effects..
Instead of Skyline movie, I like Battle los angles bcoz idea of the movie was same but the character and scripting really awesome.
