If most people prepped like this, we could afford to tell the grocery stores, the gas stations,etc to screw off....quit gouging your prices world.
But, then there is the vast majority that says, "The Hell with yall, I am going to Disney World in my brand new SUV, buying 4 60 inch flat screens and eating out every night of the year because I can"

Problem is, most didn't learn a dang thing from Katrina.
Noticed how the government used MILITARY and POLICE force to UNARM the citizens? Even going as far as entering an elderly ladies home and slamming her to the wall then to the ground to take he little .38spc.

NOT ONE WORD OF THE BLANTANT VIOLATION OF THE CONSTITUTION CAN YOU FIND.

Because it was the government doing it. If it wasn't for youtube the world would never know. There is still one where national guard from ANOTHER state is on video saying they don't want to, but if they have to they will kill Americans to get their guns from them. HELLO!!!

Right Klayton! When I saw the YouTube video of that elderly lady being knocked to the ground by some big government police type, I became furious. I still can't understand how that bully could do that.

As far as the Mormons - they are correct in that they have been prepping for many many years - however what is not mentioned is that over that last 5 or 6 years they have been doing so in earnest. In fact, LSD doctrine used to be to have three months of food stored - now is a year + 10% for sharing. In fact if you read any of their blogs you'll read that people are encouraged to follow "church teachings" and store the food.

In addition to the blogs - they have websites which tell people HOW and HOW MUCH. Some LDS members have videos on how to can, dehydrate, store grain etc. Mormons have a great public relations person who told Reuters the politically correct answer. The rest of the story is out there for anyone who searches.
