To everyone on this forum, from the Mods to the regulars to the new folks.
I appreciate this forum and everything that it is about. I started checking this place out back in October via Survival Blog and after a couple of weeks of doing some recon, I joined. I checked out a lot of the bigger forums and decided on this one for one reason.....yall eliminate all of the crap. There aren't a bunch of armchair survivalists and teenagers on this forum, which I dig. The isnt a bunch of arguing and stupidity.....Mods, please keep it that way.
I appreciate all of the shared knowledge. I am new to preparing. I have been hiking and "surviving" for a few years. After I read Behold A Pale Horse a couple of years ago, it really got me thinking about what is REALLY going on. Now, on a very very very limited budget, I have got right now 1 month of food (and climbing by the paycheck, a whole lot sooner with this awesome new job working for a major stock car corp.), tons of water (we save every milk jug and 20oz/ 2liter and fill em up), a sufficient amount of ammo for my 2 guns, a ton of hiking/backpacking/camping gear( all bought cheap, used or given to me by folks throwing the wool cloak back on, and books and PDF's of knowledge.
I hope in the future (very near at that) I can attend one of the campouts or gatherings to learn, share and talk with people of like mind. Once the baby #2 is born in June, I will have more time to get back out into the woods for days at a time.
But like I said, I want to thank everyone for their professionalism and knowledge here...
