  • A Big Thank You

To everyone on this forum, from the Mods to the regulars to the new folks.
I appreciate this forum and everything that it is about. I started checking this place out back in October via Survival Blog and after a couple of weeks of doing some recon, I joined. I checked out a lot of the bigger forums and decided on this one for one reason.....yall eliminate all of the crap. There aren't a bunch of armchair survivalists and teenagers on this forum, which I dig. The isnt a bunch of arguing and stupidity.....Mods, please keep it that way.
I appreciate all of the shared knowledge. I am new to preparing. I have been hiking and "surviving" for a few years. After I read Behold A Pale Horse a couple of years ago, it really got me thinking about what is REALLY going on. Now, on a very very very limited budget, I have got right now 1 month of food (and climbing by the paycheck, a whole lot sooner with this awesome new job working for a major stock car corp.), tons of water (we save every milk jug and 20oz/ 2liter and fill em up), a sufficient amount of ammo for my 2 guns, a ton of hiking/backpacking/camping gear( all bought cheap, used or given to me by folks throwing the wool cloak back on, and books and PDF's of knowledge.
I hope in the future (very near at that) I can attend one of the campouts or gatherings to learn, share and talk with people of like mind. Once the baby #2 is born in June, I will have more time to get back out into the woods for days at a time.
But like I said, I want to thank everyone for their professionalism and knowledge here...

I'll second that. The benefit to me is that there are some things I know a lot about, other things I know a little about, and other things I'm dumber than a box of rocks about. I can share what I know about, and learn about what I don't. That's a win to me.

Thank you and everyone else. It takes more than mods to make a forum what it is...the members. Set the pace we just keep ya on track. Lol

        Thank you all as well.

We have some awesome mods here, thanks for showing them the respect they deserve for working an unpaid job keeping this place clean and BS free.

I'll be honest, we have banned a pile of people........ ALL SPAMMERS. Every single banned person (or web bot as the case may be) so far was banned for spamming. In other words, no one has gotten really stupid with another member, been a complete jerk, etc. in the close to a year we have had the forum up and running.

        WE APPRECIATE THAT.

Further, we thank you all for keeping the conspiracy talk to a minimum and keeping all talk of illegal actions off the forums. Their is zero tolerance for the latter (illegal stuff).

Again, we thank you all for being level headed.

We'll be here helping each other until those bright flashes shut down the electronics... LOL

Yes, ditto on the Thank You! This is a great place and I have learned a lot by reading as much of the older posts as possible.
