  • 3M window security film..............

A friend of mine told me about this and is having his lower level of his home installed with this film.
Check out the link and check out the two videos. Thats some tough stuff. Anything that gives you alittle more time, to grab a gun, call 911, ect. , is a great thing. I wish, I would hit the lotto, so I could buy everything I need at once.;) For me, it's a bean here, a bullet there. lol!

We are having burglar bars installed on first floor windows.
But 3M would make for additional safety for sure...

I loved the actual break in attempt video at the bottom. Never realized this stuff was so strong.

We had this installed a few months ago at our office after two break-ins in a month where we lost over $20K in laptop computers and T.V.'s. I was speaking to the installers and they said that the bad guy will likely tireout before getting in. They had come though a window before. Yep, we have an alarm and cameras that they were able to disble due to a stupid county code. I won't go into details so trollers won't get any ideas. Anyway, they can't do that again as we were able to get around the code, but still follow the code (if that makes sense). The installer said they would have to throw a brick/block multiple times before even making a small hole, and by that time they are too tired, frustrated or both and someone would probably notice them as well. Good stuf, expensive but worth it.

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!

I have looked into this and tested it myself. If it is just applied to the window showing , we broke the window it fell out of the frame and make a safe entry for the bad guy. I found the sheeting had to be placed on the glass before it was put into the window frame and then it did it's job. Just my test, check and see for yourself before dropping big money. I ended up installing 1/4" lexan behind the window as well as the film on the outside glass. Pain in the back side to take frame off, broke two windows and stopped.
