I am listening to the the radio show from November 2010 and he was just talking about food storage...I dare someone to call him and ask why he recommends the food storage methods he recommends when none of the major food packing plants do specifically dry ice and DE. I would but I will be at work.

LOL. Let's not start any site wars now or insult anyone.

I'm sure he has his reasons. I know a lot of survivalists that have been around for a long time that prefer the dry ice method. I think the only reason I took to absorbers/mylar so quickly was my experience in the food storage industry.

I've never seen him advocate DE, you sure he does??

He's a decent guy and has done a lot for the movement. He doesn't seem to like AK's but I'm not gonna hold that against him ;) LOL
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

I could be wrong on the DE. I thought I read it in one of his books maybe not. I wasn't trying to start a site war...merely trying to understand why he advocates what he does. Not holding anything against the guy, it was his books that has really urged me into this for which I am very grateful of.

Maybe someone will politely ask :)

There is always more than one way to skin a cat. I would rather see people preparing whether or not they do it the way I think they should. It looks like we all may be using our stores sooner than later. I have read some posts and shook my head wondering what they are thinking. But I have learned that just because I would do things differently doesn't make me right, or that what the other person is doing is wrong (sometimes). We all are trying to do what we can. But I doubt that 1 in 100 of us will survive long term if things go as bad as described in Patriots, or One Second After. I see a lot of people trying to make a buck using fear to sell stuff. I also see a lot of chatter about trying to store coffee, or other things that are not strictly necessary. We all make our choices, but when you have no food left to feed your loved ones your priorities will be different. Sorry if I got off on a rant.

I know this is bad, but could you tell me what DE and AK is? I'm new to this.
