Guys- let's all remember that more than a few gals frequent the forums. We don't need "push the envelope" on any of this fiction stuff. Thanks
RobertBoris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

Wow are we glad to find y'all.
Before the fall I was a nuclear medicine technologist by education, but I had a few skills on the side that may prove useful.
IN addition to the medical skills I have, I also ran a small gear manufacturing company making outdoor and military style gear.
Even though we had prepped as well as we could, we weren't anywhere near prepared for the series of events that happened. Just prior to the collapse, my industry was totally devestated by the Health Care Overhaul act of 2010. Within a few months of the law taking effect, there was a moratorium on the testing I performed on a daily basis. Although I had been a loyal employee and worked very hard, the clinic eventually had to let me go.
We had just finished building our homestead with all the available cash we had, so at least we were lucky there, but we immediately had to begin living off our supplies. They didn't last anywhere near as long as I thought they would.
Over the last few years we've done a lot of different things to provide, but as the deer and small game finally played out, we made the decision to leave our homestead and strike out.
It's been a tough road getting here, but we are together and only a little worse for wear. My son lost an eye during a small firefight in the panhandle and my daughter stopped talkin altogether about 6 months ago, even though she is 9 and we couldn't keep her quite befoe the trouble.
We heard about your trading post and hoped we could find work and a place to live.
My wife and I both have sewing skills. Between us we can sew anthing you might have a need for or repair what you've got.
I noticed you had a few machines? I also have a few...my Singer hand crank and a Singer Treadle that I bought and refurbed "just in case". I also have a little sewing supplies (some thread and needles for my machines and some leather hidesand a few bits of real cordura and webbing I managed to scrounge on the way here) and the skills to use them. I could also help out in the medical facility if you're willing to trade work for food and shelter for a family of 4.
Thanks,
Spoon

Need Some Air Support?
Well, I've got a beautiful old 4 to 6 passenger (depending upon their size and weight) bush airplane available if you've 'Got Gas?'... She uses mogas as well as avgas with no problemo. Perhaps 300 to 400 mile legs between 60-gallon fill-ups, depending upon the winds.
She is in GREAT shape (fresh annual inspection), fully instrumented and I have a bit over 40-years flying experience if you would like to move the mail, freight or passengers down the trail. Although maybe as time goes by I could use a little help from Road Warrior762 to keep her maintained.
All I need is about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile of straight road or relatively flat terrain with no signs, trees, or wires interfering with the "runway". Dirt or hard surface, no matter.
Oh, if you have a helicopter available, I can fly that too (a few thousand hours in SE Asia and quite a few more since then makes that duty a no brainer also).
Wife is a very experienced Operating Nurse, perhaps with Tenderfoot's wife, they can keep the red stuff on the inside working correctly.
