Spooky...I had just read that article before dropping by here..and I agree with you, forecasts don't look good.

This growing season should be interesting. With my FIL (who has the green thumb in the family)
retired we have added on to the family garden. A man I met this last fall let me hunt on his property during deer season and he puts in a large garden and told me I could work it with him. All I had to do was pick what ever I wanted....sounded like a heckofa deal to me and I agreed :D
I purchase canning lids occasionally when I'm in town so when it's time to can we usually have quite a stock of them.

I was about to start a new post linking the story too. Doesn't look good does it? We just started prepping and it looks like many will now start as well. Prices are going up and the demand will make the prices go higher.

And I'm with you Slingshot...exactly how I feel. Playing catch up. At least you started your garden. You are on your way.
