Uh, Benn, it wasn't the dems that did that. Nixon did it first, then Reagan followed up and emptied the rest. Both were republicans. Every state in the union is cutting their mental health budgets, because it's easy. Take the money from the most defenseless, etc. Like the war on the poor. Oddly enough, the prison population rose to almost exactly the same number as the people in the mental institutions. The blame lies on both parties at the moment. A law needs to be passed that EXEMPTS the restriction of mental medical conditions. It should be not when the person releases it, it should be mandated that confirmed psychological disfunction MUST be reported to the proper authorities. This would have stopped almost all recent psycho gun purchases. Currently they have to be "convicted" of a crime with mental reasons in the court case, otherwise they rely on the person buying the gun to honestly answer the form that they have NOT had any mental issues in the past. This would be NO different from when hospitals are now required to report a medical condition that coincides with possible child/spouse abuse. NO DIFFERENT! Yes we have rights, but when there is just cause that some medical condition could cause YOU to snap and hurt/kill innocent people, then I am all for mental medical conditions being reported to the proper authorities.

NOT lets ban guns for everybody, or what I think is coming first, another Brady Bill. The news media was all over that hi capacity magazine yesterday.

Be forewarned my friends, today Democrats are going to be in line, just like the sheep. Ready to pass a HUGE gun law. Order your hi capacity mags, if that is something you like. Currently most handguns are considered high capacity (so dont just think 30 round extended mags). I ordered two new clips for each of my handguns last night.

If everyone would have been able to carry concealed or open this wouldn't have happened. Don't care how crazy you are, you aren't going to go into a room full of people that are all carrying a gun and start shooting unless you want to die. Another fine example of the reason why we should be able to carry guns, the cops can't be everywhere and this could have been avoided.

Some congresswoman was saying that "guns kill." Well, lets go get these guns that are responsible, have a trial, and convict them for the murders they committed. I think they have the gun that guy used, so let's let him go, since he is not responsible, and convict and sentence that gun, which killed those people.
