Cimarron economics is actually pretty easy. The talking heads on 24/7 news channels make it sound difficult.
You just have to put it into personal economics. For example everything that we buy is a commodity - milk, gasoline, tires, soda, etc. A single tire is = to 33 gallons of milk. But to help in trade both the dairy and the tire producer can only use so much of each other's products. Dollars, Yen, Euros, bottle caps, etc. are added to the equation as a medium of trade. Now a tire = $100, just like 33 gallons of milk = $100. But when governments start printing money the way ours have, its value goes down. In the future a tire = $500, and 33 gallons of milk = $500. But in the end one tire = 33 gallons of milk.
If governments would just stay out of the free and open trade business we would all be richer, but then why would we need political elite? Its an old story, and its one that we seem not have learned.
Thanks Tofu. I can follow your example. When it becomes wrong in my mind is, when they start using deficit spending. They don't have the money there when they are spending it and are just putting it on the nations "credit card" or IOW National debt. So we either borrow the money or raise taxes.
Is there ever "enough is enough" with these people?..oh wait, it's not their money they are worrying about, ya know, there's enough citizens to carry the load, and of course there is always future generations to support their spending.
A desire changes nothing, a decision changes some thing's, but determination changes everything.
The difference between a conservative and a liberal is conservatives gladly donate their money to what THEY want to, liberals gladly donate YOUR money to what THEY want to. Only problem with liberals, sooner or later you run out of the other guy's money.
