  • Kooky idea

Was watching a video on youtube (surprise) and had a bit of a brain fart (and yes it did hurt).

It's 3am and your motion sensor goes off waking you from a dead sleep. The delima, do I get dressed and see what set the sensor off? Or do I dismiss it and go back to sleep? Or I could send out my sentry and put some eyes on the area. Wonder how I could modify something like this?

Seismic and other types of coverage with cameras covering them. No need to expose yourself to check it out.

And more importantly, the intruder won't know he's been popped. Best bet is to let people think they are getting in before you do what you have to do.

That's the problem with tripwires, little sirens, etc. The person KNOWS they are made. You want them to think they are doing just fine, getting in close, etc. :)

I just tell the dogs to investigate it , and if the racket is worthy , I then go check with NVG and a loaded weapon .

I am still trying to get a RC helicopter to work satisfactorily with an infrared camera. The range of most RC (line of sight of course) is around a mile, if I remember what the salesman told me. And if you get a class 60 chopper, it can lift around 8 pounds. So a camera should is no problem, its just the vibration is making the video useless... :(
