what if,
yall already know the story.... your neighboring country that has been screaming death to you and yours, suddenly attacks with medium and huge missiles. 300 of them. it's not just the evil leadership, it's the people in the streets and at their religious houses screaming death to you and yours... fortunately, (probably with some heavenly assistance in my opinion) you have defeated many of the 300 missiles. it has cost you and yours gillions of dollars in defeating many of the evil missiles.
so, what is your response?
your intelligence system is pretty good. you know where a lot of the missiles came from. you know where many of the evil military bases and command structures are located. the evil folks attacked your civilians. what and when do you respond? a lot of your friends say, "oh, don't respond! the evil people will not like it"
what the heck? the evil sent cruise missiles. the evil sent ballistic missiles. i'm not a military guy at all, but i think cruise and ballistic are big, real big and nasty missiles.!!
if you respond, your friends think that other evil forces will join in and help the evil.. so you should just sit down and be glad that you stopped most of the missiles?
these ain't the smartest apples in the barrel that attacked you. you won't find many nobel prize winners over in their country. rumor has it that they really really like their goats. their religious houses don't complain about their peoples close relationship with their goats.
