Yes, it's going to be crap, but then again 99% of the SHTF/post apoc books and movies I've seen and read over almost 40 years have been also.

It can't be worse than "One Cigarette After", or Testament.

I got to be honest I'm going to go see it one or more places "locally"- almost an hour any direction to a theater- largely so I can see who all is going to it.

And while I totally EXPECT it to be: stupid AF, woke AF, anti patriot, etc. It is always interesting to see what the ENEMY is saying and how he views things.

Think about a Jew picking up a copy of "Mein Kempf" in 1933 and reading it. One might say "this is nonsense", another might think "I think I just read the mind of the enemy.'

The closer we get, the more the enemy let's his "mask" slip- they are fairly blatant about it now. Pay attention during those times they let the mask slip, they are telling you what they would do/will do. Part of it is posturing, just like all these tough guy patriots that talk $hit and never train, never group up with others, but take comfort behind their "ammo fort" and four safes full of mostly unused guns.

But part of it is the programming and propaganda, and we should look at it as a look inside the enemy's mind.

And most of all, just entertainment.

Saw it last night.

While websites are saying it's "not political", it very heavily infers that the President at the time is Trump. Won't throw out many spoilers but suffice to say he's even wearing a tie that looks like Trump would wear at the end.

Premise is that the President stayed in office "after his 2nd term."

You don't hear a lot about all the bad stuff this President has done other than "doing drone strikes on Americans." Evidently this President doesn't realize the way to do it is to kill 17 kids and burn them down in their home/church along with most of the adults..that was OK for Bill Klinton to do.


The movie is centered around these journalists and evidently they are to be trusted cause they are evidently not political LMAO

At one point one of the aspiring young journalists mentions the work of the older one documenting "the antifa massacre."

Nothing more is given. Implication is that the President "massacred" antifa. If so congrats!!! Or are they saying antifa "massacred" a bunch of people? I believe it's the former. But the movie tries to leave things ambiguous.



This is not the aforementioned "antifa massacre" but is a spot the journalists find where Jesse Plemmons (psycho Todd from Breaking Bad) and another soldier, clearly soldiers in the US military, are dumping a truckload of bodies in at this farm. This is the "what kind of American are you?" section of the film. Two of the journalists are of Asian descent and one is killed quickly, the other is alive until when he is asked where he's from and he says "Hong Kong" and then psycho Todd whacks him out also. The main male journalist is a Spanish guy that played Pablo Escobar in Narcos and somehow he isn't immediately singled out- again no clear lines- but you expect if they were pushing some "racist" BS that Pablo would have been whacked right after Asian guy. Anywhoo, they are saved at the last minute and the young girl turned journalist falls into the ditch in the process- the pic above.

One time they find some guys in Hawaiian shirts, plate carriers, etc. fighting it out with some guys in Multicam- clearly gubmint troops. The Boogaloo boys get the better of them and take a couple prisoners out and immediately whack them out.

In that regard the movie is good i.e, showing atrocity on both sides.

I thought about this scene above - at a farm- and remembered something a friend that did recon work for the US during the Yugoslavia war told me. They were watching a remote building where they knew people were being brought to raped and killed. As they were infiltrating to a hide location they moved through a new cornfield. It evidently had recently rained. My friend observed human fingers in the soil there.

Don't want to say too much re: spoilers. A lot of things purposely still don't make sense- the "Florida coalition" aligned with the "Western Forces" which is Texas and California, etc.

Who's going to see it?

Uhhhh...not me. Maybe when it shows up in the streaming services we have, but even then it's not likely that I would watch it. My first reaction was that this movie was released to influence uncommitted voters not to vote for you-know-who, the man who refuses to leave office. The timing is exquisite.

Way is panning out. It's loose ended to get the viewer to make what they want of it.
just enough Grey areas to not outright say which side is which
