I honestly think the Amerikan public is so dumbed down and short minded now, that it would take another 9/11 size attack to truly wake up Amerika to the threat.
Everything else just "scrolls off the screen" too quickly now and the "endless crisis" situation they have played in the media now for 4 years is burning most people out.
Going to be hard to develop a "Remember the Maine!" /Pearl Harbor/Gulf of Tonkin event. 40 years of socialist BS in the publix skewl system has defeated all the old skewl "patriotic" calls to defend the country for events like that.
The worse that could happen IMO, would be terrorist attacks coming up in the next few weeks during the holiday shopping season. One car bomb at a walmart in nowhereville USA and everyone would be petrified to go out- hurting the economy which is already teetering. Don't give them any ideas (not that those ideas aren't already in the planning stage). I used to work at that plant and the security gates are pretty sturdy. The security force is (or was) well trained and ready for action. I can't believe they couldn't apprehend the perp...
As for crowds and holidays, not going there....but I wouldn't have anyway. I get my groceries delivered and almost everything else from Walmart or Amazon.Comment
