Yep. That's that old "hope" thing that keeps people hanging on and voting. They really think things will change "back to normal." And you know, until that happens, continue to be a law abiding citizen, keep your kids in publix indoctrination camps and because you occasionally talk at them about conservative issues or they go to a youth group once or twice, well hell that will keep them from going to the dark side! That's all you have to do right? "Why aren't those skewls teaching such and such..." Sorry sweetheart, they don't teach basic life skills like how to address an envelope any more, they are busy telling kids where they can get their genitalia mutilated without their parents knowing.

Hope won't do it - and the number of America First representatives in the House increased, but not by enough. Until all of the establishment Rs are gone, and the Ds are reduced to a tiny minority, we are living on hopeium and it's gotten pretty stale. One encouraging sign is the increase in the number of children being pulled from gubmint schools, but with some of the shenanigans going on in private schools it appears homeschooling is the only viable option.

I am afraid most parents do not even know what their kids are being taught (and may not care). When I was working I would ask some of my staff "are your kids being taught xyz?" Then I would show stuff from another state where the schools were caught teaching LGBTQRSTWXYZ x 2, or 1619, or CRT, or whatever. They would usually reply, they would never teach that here in FL...and I would say...how do you know? Have you checked or you just ASSuming they are not teaching your 7 year old this stuff? They would just look at me with a blank stare, and I would say...you better find out. My nurse (worked with me for 12 years before I retired) was the only one that was paying attention.

With an economy that requires all parents working, whether that's one or two, most adults are just not spending the time to pay attention to what's happening at school. Loudon County woke up a lot of parents who then got classified as domestic terrorists. FL has done a good job of legislating educational requirements and restrictions. Still, there are too many stories about woke teachers who are sneaking inappropriate material and lessons into classrooms. Vigilance is the key - and parents must be on top of teaching materials being presented to their children.
