Good article on RT (yes, Russia Today, they lie about as much as the Amerikan media so why not?) about the Cuban missile crisis and how one Soviet submarine commander actually gave the order to fire but it was not quite followed.
If I had a guess, between the Syrian expedition and now Ukraine, we have probably experienced at least one other similar event. Maybe that would not have touched off nukes, but ground conflict with the Russians.
It's my contention as a cold war era survivalist that ANY direct conflict between Russian and American troops anywhere in the world should be viewed as a trigger point. You can argue that the Russians aren't doing well in Ukraine right now, conscripts, etc. etc. doesn't matter. We are ultimately not debating about whether Russian conscripts can beat Americans, but we should be looking at what TRIGGERS will take place afterwards.
Ditto with a nuclear blast just "happening" (most likely false flag) anywhere in that region, it won't be an accident. False flag probably. It won't be Russia "nuking Kiev because they can't win" or any stupid crap that Amerikan media tells you or your drunk Bubba uncle tells you. Putin's not a dunskie.
If that happens it will be most likely in the long line of "Remember the Maine!", "Remember Pearl Harbor!", "Remember 9/11" string of slightly odd incidents with a ton of unanswered questions around them that seem to get us involved in wars.
For the survivalist, none of that matters, what will matter if/when that happens is that you understand there will be a 90% probability of "no going back" from that point. You will want to immediately put plans in ACTION, your chances of survival depend on that. If you waste a day sitting around watching it on the news like most did on 9/11, you will likely miss your chance to take action and get moving.
I've told people for 36 years in doing this that we all need to have trigger points or trip lines and have them SET IN STONE. In other words things like "if a nuke goes off in anger or under odd circumstances anywhere in the world I put plans into action" or similarly- "if 3 large banks fail within X time period I put such and such into action."
Have trigger points tied to hard plans gives you a "go" point that you are psychologically setting ahead of time. This is important so you don't "waffle", debate, rationalize and then of course get "used to."
This could never be more important than it is now.
