Finally got a chance to take my "pilgrimage" and went to Las Vegas NEW MEXICO.

And if you don't know what happened there, well shame on you.

"Morris Market" (Robert's Dad gas station) was literally built for the movie and wasn't real, but evidently people thought it was and were trying to frequent the place LOL.

NOTHING remains at the spot to make you think it was ever there, was there Monday and searched.



I was literally at this gas station on Monday....

Couldn't find the spider holes though...

I tried to get six toothbrushes in here, but Elisha no longer works there-






They got the Mayor's car! They got Daryl's Dad's car!

But at least the movie theater stopped showing Soviet Propaganda films.

Realized I had the first and second pic too close together to where it might be confusing.

The gas station pic- 2nd pic down is NOT "Morris Market" aka Robert's Dad's gas station where they gather supplies. It is the old gas station where they blew up the T72 and then pop out of the spider holes to cap the Soviet tank crew.

Fun fact for you- the "Soviet" in the blue beret which would not have fit with the other tanker crews was Fred Rexer. He also was the technical adviser to the movie. I just had someone on another forum today mentioned that this is the same "Fred Rexer" who wrote a bunch of survivalist booklets in the late 80's including "Urban Survival Arsenal." He was evidently SF in Vietnam also and was (or likely still is) a complete badarse!!!
