i was working at neighbors sawmill... had just sliced off a nice 12' 1x6
skies turning dark. storm in predictions by the weather folks...
getting windy... sawmill is level..
wind kicked up and sawmill head (very heavy) suddenly took off down the mill rails because of the wind...
i figured it was time to head home.

bride is watching it pour as i tell her my story..

she points to calendar from last year.
on this day, it stormed and creek near condo, got out of banks flooding part of yard and driveway.
if it's flooded, during the day and you can see what is going on a 4x4 can drive through...

we came home during night time to find it flooded one time... in the car.
that night better to stay in the rooms in the barn... bed and bath.
makes one consider what would happen if home was suddenly not available. burnt down. blown (wind or bomb) down. taken by bad folks.
maybe i should put a pitch fork in the barn to help keep the evil away!
