A channel that popped up on YT the other day "its called Canadian Prepper or The Canadian Prepper not sure which" was talking about him and that he was trying to get him on his channel for an interview...

an ex military associate has called with more nuclear concerns than in the years i've known him..
      bottom line...
putin may be getting in a corner. will he wilt and walk away saying oops and apologizing? or will he do something to increase the threat? what does his background tell us?

      here are some close calls...
sometimes we have defused... sometimes the russians have.

yeah, I have been hearing a lot of "talk" of nukes on sites I follow. Nobody knows and it is all speculation..heck Putin probably does not know himself. What can I do to stop it? Nothing. However I can be prepared to survive after a nuke as long as I am out of the blast area. A nuke would make swaths of land uninhabitable for decades. Why would they want that to happen? Is it just to destroy America or destroy and invade and utilize our resources? We have a lot of resources here despite what our MSM likes to say. I think someone could get the same results with a nuke airburst (EMP) or a cyberattack. Shut down our power systems and millions would die, and our mil would be somewhat blinded. Cannot pump fuel as you need power for that. Cannot ship supplies because you need fuel for that. What is the saying...Control the food and you control the people, control the power and you control the continent, control the money and you control the world...

There are any number of threats we're facing. My goal is to focus on possible negative outcomes that I can mitigate, like growing a bigger garden and stocking more non-perishable food and supplies. Nuclear war? I have some preps but how useful they would be depends on the blast zone. EMP attack that takes out the power grid - we have a small solar setup that would keep our RV house batteries charged, and 2 generators that we could use to power the house for a relatively short time. Would anything function after an EMP event? Maybe, maybe not...

The last month has been our heavy pollen season up here. The pollen collecting on everything, messing up everyone's lungs, etc. has always made me think of fallout.

One of the talks I gave at a campout 15 or so years ago we talked about nuclear preps in great detail and I mentioned having large tarps to cover garden areas, woodsheds/firewood stacks, etc.

No one thinks past Day 1. We have to think farther than that.

Carefully fold up some large tarps and remove them from the garden or do you know how to work with soil that's contaminated? How much lime are you storing? Scrape or till under?

Are you really prepared to go a year or more without a garden?

What about livestock? How will you protect them? I remember one year when we had cows the pollen being so bad it was caked on their faces, up their noses, etc. I had a pic somewhere. Now consider this is fallout. Yes in a pinch you can eat the meat "away from the bones" but this is a "I have no other choice" plan. Can you shelter your animals?

Everyone loves their doggies, what are you going to do with them? Let's be honest, dog(s) inside a shelter that's probably not super adequate to begin with isn't really an option. So what then, leave them out to die? Perhaps better to lock them in your house with some food and maybe that will give you some early warning to post nuke looters. Brass tacks- better the dog get shot than you or your family. Inside the home may give them some protection as well, assuming the home is still intact. You folks that live near blast zones will have to adapt this info or plan on GTFO.
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

              good comparison ld.

looking at our location, and wondering what could i have done or can do to better prep.
and my eyes keep turning to the two concrete pads i had installed... (floors for metal buildings) in recent years.
6 inches of concrete... why didn't i put in a "basement" before the concrete went down. would have been a great time to do so.

oh well. time to go check value of a plywood wall to withstand rads. probably not much.

How about cement-filled concrete blocks for the walls, frame out and pour a concrete ceiling?
