sitting in house just now, eating my sandwich, chips, satsumas, banana, peanut butter. all is well. late lunch... getting ready to go 80 miles to pick up a couple of used small tractor implements i've agreed to buy. getting a fair deal.

tv shuts down, lights go down. no power
go to computer, a portable, so it has a battery, but the internet went down too?
tried to call our electrical supplier. had trouble getting through. yes. power outage.
hooked up generator. internet back on. once power from gen. came through.

remembering putin's threat about nukes. trying to remember what close relatives told me about nukes. what have i read?
wishing i'd gotten the solar install, but nuke might have fried that system too.

oh yeah. senior relative i'm responsible for. do i go get them?

wondering if my bank has power... called... yes they do. their power was out for 10 minutes. i asked, do you have a generator... she doesn't know. she asked someone else... they didn't know. i don't think they do?
oh well, glad our gov't is there taking care of us.
