Should have also been a link to a very old video we did at a campout in 07'ish with an impromptu talk on what to do if nukes fall type of deal.

The basics don't change on this sort of thing- mass, distance, time, etc.

I moved the KiO3 stock, dosimeters, and water to my designated area yesterday. I didn’t want to be running around looking in 3-places for them if someone pops a big one in the coming weeks. My suit is likely too old to do much good, but I might retrieve it as well. Things get separated after moving homes.

For fallout, an old protective suit is still going to be useful.

About stuff.
Good call on the chemsuits but don't forget TYVEK suits which are cheap now and almost serve the same purpose. At least you can hose them down before you take it off and bury it.

Potassium Iodide.
Initially save your Potassium Iodide tablets in case you have to travel and be protected.

Start with 80% Iodine tincture.
Any age, dip your little finger in the bottle up to the first joint and let it dry daily. It'll wear off quickly initially because your body will absorb it and then it will began to last longer.

Remember too, the covid masks will help with fallout particles in the air. That will stretch your protective mask filters longer but the covid mask won't stop gas, chem or bio stuff.

just remembered another thing. Coffee filter over your gas mask filter held on by panty hose sections will make your filter last longer if you're in a heavy particulate area., blowing dust, etc.
