Military style drones over major cities

guys check out this link. police dept are now using drones as a means to spy on the public. this is eye opening! and you know what? the people are just going to set back and let it happen. i mean how are we to protect ourselves from something like this

HL I understand your concern but it does the same job as a Police helicopter except that its cheaper to operate and has longer legs. There is not much you can do to "protect" yourself from aircraft, unless you do something drastic, but that would be ill advised. You might buy some camo netting to put over whatever it is your trying to keep from prying eyes. But I'm not ready to goto that level of paranoria yet.

GUYS I SEE YOUR POINT..MAYBE IT DOES A BETTER CHEAPER JOB THAT A CHOPPER...BUT I CANT STAND THE GOVERNMENT HAVING SO MUCH POWER. I know it feels like one more step. But ya gotta pick your battles. Rush Limbaugh has said on many ocasions that people have an emotional reservoir. Once you drain that bowl, then people become apathetic and they can't be motivated to do anything.

Here, there have been people screaming for more cameras downtown. The idea of not doing something stupid, like walking to your car in the corner of a dimly lit parking lot at 3:00 in the morning never occurred to them. The whole idea of cameras bothers me too. They're designed to catch whoever robbed you, not to prevent the robbery in the first place. The argument is that they're a deterrent. How well has that worked for anything, including the death penalty? NOT! What's the drone going to do, fire a Hellfire missile at the lowlife that's jacking your car? Unlikely. Again, they're designed to help catch after the crime, not to prevent it in the first place. The real problem is that too many people are unwilling to take responsibility for their own safety.
