FCC Approves Plan to Regulate Internet

So every time we post, visit and basically just every mouse click will cost money. How many businesses will this kill? How many discussions will this stop? What little of social life is left may crumble.

Just my opinion I dunno. I don't normally get wrapped up in such things to hard but this has my attention for sure.

Nothing good ever lasts forever. There's always FIDO, if any of you remember that. Basically, one guy in one state called up another guy in another state and they swapped messages. I remember back when, and it took a day to get a reply from Australia. Not as fast as what we have now, but direct, and without govt. oversight.

And if TPTB don't approve of the site (ie:FoxNews) then the charge will probably be even higher. This will end up creating a 'bootleg' internet of some sort.
What a long, strange trip it's been.....

Remember that the government has no limit to what it wants to control, especially information. It is the natural course of "rulers" like Obama, and big government advocates to move to control the information the people to be ruled have access to. Just one more necessary step. When they start confiscating guns or tomato plants, or whatever else they will eventually try, they obviously wouldn't want word of that getting around too fast. When they have an overwhelming liberal media eagerly helping, the internet is the last open source of info. Or at least it was until now. We'll have the fairness doctrine come into play and many other useful tools to control the spread of info on radio, T.V. and they have to get with the program controlling the internet. Plus, Obama would probably say that it doesn't make sense to "spend" so much money on tax cuts for wealthy people who use the net to buy goods. And by "spend" he means, not tax. There is all this money being spent online that is supposed to belong to the government, right? So they have to figure out a way to tax everything that happens online or it isn't fair to the "less fortunate."
