Higher interest rates, agreed. I remember getting 12% interest on a 5-year cd during Pres Carter. Ah, the good old days.

we bought a house when rates were ?over 12? maybe 14 ? i think. and assumed the guys 12% loan... we were happy.... then about a year later found a source of 10% money.... we were thrilled! 10%

first house I bought was 13% and I thought it was great as not too long before that it was hovering around 18%...
