wed. of this week. we drove from georgia to alabama... gasoline mostly about 3.39/gallon.
on thursday made sme trip gas up 10 to 20 cents.
today gasoline price from 3.79 to 4.09.

december of 2021 we were on w. coast and paid 4.59 (or close.. i forgot exactly) but remember thinking... i've got to get back to jawja... i'll never pay over 4.00 for gasoline...

today. i paid 4.09 in my home county... (it was 3.99 at another station, but i was on fumes when i bought the 4.09)

    i saw diesel for 4.89/gallon.

i was at a gathering of folks in alabama... many were discussing that they were already cancelling trips because of fuel prices.

We went out to the strawberry festival this morning. Gas was $3.99 at one station and $3.79 at the other. On the way back, both were $3.99. Diesel was $4.79. I am so glad my husband and I don't have to go to work anymore - I'm not sure we could afford to! Take the motorhome out? We'll need to think long and hard about that one, and find a campground close to home. With campsites running in the $70-80 range/night, we won't be doing much camping right now. That's okay, as we're both busy with projects around the house, him rebuilding the pool deck and me getting gardens ready for spring planting. With food shortages projected to be severe, I need to grow more!

Went camping this last weekend. Filled up my diesel Chevy Colorado on Thursday paid $4.19. Friday hooked up my camper and drove to N. Central FL and saw diesel near our campground at $4.59 and told my wife WOW forty cents difference. Saturday eve took truck to top off, as I was at 1/2 tank, to that station that we had seen $4.59 as that was the cheapest around and it had jumped to $4.79 and regular gas was $3.99. Going to go out today and top off and see how that empties my wallet.....What's in your wallet?.....diesel receipts, certainly not cash....

As I live near a state line, I get to see prices in two states. My state, 3.89 for reg unleaded. The other state, 4.19.

                    Now y'all embarrassing me.
Had them top off the ranch tank with unleaded (road gas, not farm gas) and was $3.33/gal here in Colorado, but it was for 440 gallons.

Wonder how long I'll be lucky cause lucky usually don't last long.

At least I got 500 gallons on hand, like they say, IF YOU CAN'T TOUCH IT, YOU DON'T OWN IT.
Usually, that's 2 months worth. If things go poorly, odds are me and mine will be driving much less than normal.

Thanks, but it's just part of ranch/country living.
When I grew up, everybody in my county including the cities had pantries which they kept full.
Nowadays the sheep only know the 7-11 pantry.

Gas "dropped" to around $3.79 here and as I pulled in I noticed every pump had 2 cars on it and cars circling the station like vultures. I guess it's a "deal" now that people have experienced $4.25 a gallon here.

As cars are two deep and vultures circling the pumps, one "lady" in the loosest sense of the word, finishes her pump, gets out of the car and walks over in the grass and lights up a smoke and starts talking on her phone... And people keep telling me that everyone is going to "pull together" in a SHTF situation. Nope, going to be idiots like this broad that are thoughtless and end up getting shot over it by someone desperate for gas.
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

1Admin: The one thing you have to take gas shopping with you is patience, because people like that woman are going to require a lot of it! I haven't needed gas since I've been shoveling dirt for a few days, but I'll check conditions when I drive by the local gas stations.
