I am reminded of a story my father told of the reason he stopped wearing overalls....quite a nasty mess. But none the less a good laugh some 50 or so years later for him and some similar aged gents.

Yep thats kinda what I was driving at with the "dead" vine. I have gotten a few rashes from "dead" vines wood cutting late season. Other things to watch for are insects and other creepy crawlers. The very nature of the desired seat can be home for such critters. Even the choice seat can hold ants under the bark or a scorpian under the rock ledge. Grand like scorpians he plays with them all the time since moving here:)

yep that is what I was thinking....everytime i move a log in the woods something comes crawling out...course i don't have scorpions where i live

Took the boy camping up in the hills over the weekend. Turning 5 next week and it was his first time #2'n in the woods. I told him he is now a man!

Matt left out watch out with both eyes for poison ivy and her sisters when trying to find that good spot to take care of bussiness. A rash in the neither regions whould be very bad and painful. I have seen it happen first hand when out in the woods.

Something to consider when out and about is the inevitable #2. Pre-PAW I like to make myself visible because white flashes of TP could be mistaken for a deer throwing flag with its white tail and bring in an overachievers shot. I wonder do they make tactical TP?


When looking for a comfortable spot watch for things such as the "dead" vine on this log. That vine could bring some grief later.



Some things look good but are on the short side and are difficult to get back up from especially when you are already tired from activities. Also another reason to have a good battlebuddy to keep watch while you take care of business! Dont wanna get caught with your pants down:)



Occasionally you find one that is just right, not too tall, not to short, no pokey sticks, no extra itchy plant life and balanced well for stability.
