Sling tools in the gangbox, leave them out, to be stolen, ect. I have been in the business for 15 years and it will never change, until there is accountablity for the tools. I worked for a union shop, and went through, over 10k alone in battery drills, every year! I just bang my head agianst the wall! lol! -

They are definitely the way to go if your planning on doing any quantity of bags.
The heating elements do break fairly easy. We constantly had to have 3 or more of these units on hand as the guys at the end of the line that were sealing bags used to drop the sealers on the concrete floor before they passed the bucket down the line. Needless to say I replaced a LOT of sealers in a 2 year period of packing commercially....Leave a comment:

Clamshell Sealer
I just got a chance to use my new clamshell style sealer on 5 gal, 4.3 mil Mylars, and it worked great. I just thought I would share the link so that anyone who is thinking about buying one can check it out. There is a high and low setting, which I used on high, and it made a really nice seal, no melting, burning, or any other problems. Anyway, I'm glad I bought it. It really makes it easy to seal the Mylars, and it seems to be pretty well build. I'm off the Sams to get a bunch of other stuff today, and will be using it again tonight.
