Here is an interesting web page on herbs, http://www.ryandrum.com particularly on Yarrow. My experience with yarrow is as a wound treatment. I once fell on the first day of a week long trip and put a large splinter from a rotten cedar stump into the webbing between my 1st & 2nd finger on my right hand. I made a poultice from fresh yarrow and packed the wound which stopped the bleeding & numbed the pain. It healed up in 3 days. A month later it became **** filled and I found out that there was still an inch long piece of wood inside. So it actually would have been better if I had let it drain & stay open and just kept the wound clean with a yarrow wash.
I have also used the purpleish root for mild tooth pain.
note i guess the censor doesn't like the word **** for that green fluid that wound sometimes fill with.
