Have a lot of people asking this lately.
Yes- on a case by case basis- we do trade gear/food/prep supplies for precious metals.
A fellow recently traded 5 Walking liberty silver rounds for $200. in medical supplies.
He had purchased the silver at $10. an ounce. Do the math- he got $200. worth of medical items for $50.00 (his original cost).
That's good prepping IMO. He's using something he bought a while back cheap and turning it into something tangible and useful to his prepping needs currently- and he turned a good profit doing it.
We can't always come to a deal with some folks. Like all negotiations, a little "give" from both parties usually makes the deal.
If nothing else, it makes for good experience for those thinking they will do a lot of bartering in the PAW!
