Kickstarters are pretty cool, they circumvent the need for banks!!! They let us regular folks invest in something and help bring it to the market place. I have funded 3 kickstarters. You don't pay any money until it is funded...you have to enter payment information via Amazon payments, called a hard commit. If there isn't enough money pledged by the deadline you won't be charged.
