Having some well issues over the last day or so and wanted to see if anyone here had any knowledge, tips, or pointers.
The symptoms:
Artesian Well.
Well pump is 50 yards from house.
Reservoir is in the crawl space. Galvanized tank
The pump in the ground is hissing, then sounds like a heartbeat.
The chain reaction to this is the feed line from the pump to the reservoir starts "sucking", this is in the crawlspace.
PSI is at constant 50 when running, when we turn everything off, it shoots to 70-72psi and acts like its gasping for air.
We turned it off at the breaker, opened all of the faucets and let it air out.
As soon as we turned it back on at the breaker, within minutes it starts sucking.
I have a spigot outside with a hose ran to the swamp with the dial turned on barely so it relieves some of the pressure,
Good thing we dont have city water, other wise we would be running up the bill. Seems like with the spigot on, everything is working 100%. I am assuming because its relieving that backed up pressure?
Hate to leave the family at the house with an issue, even though it seems semi solved for now, and drive for 3 hours just to meet the man, the myth, the legend.......... RR
But, technicians are off on the weekends and they are high dollar come monday morning.
Good thing for all of that water storage just incase she needs to turn off all water power.
Gotta love living in the sticks!!!
