two accociates fought back against the japs in the pacific.
one on the ground. one in the air.
years after the war, either/both would get hot just thinking about what they knew and had experienced.
one was at the memorial out over the water in the harbor... sailors had died there, while japs had just left washington doing a bunch of peace talks to our government...
a group of jap tourists were at the memorial.. chanting tora, tora, tora. this didn't go over well with my associate... he advised security guard that the whole pile of japs were about to go over the railing if they didn't shut up... and he said so loudly..
at the time, he was still capable of sending a fair number!! lol. but sad, that the security guard hadn't already tossed the sons of C's in the water, or imprisoned them. or
after they heard the threat and turning and looking, their eyes got bigger and they shut up, scurrying off like the rats they were.
as a country, state, village, we need to stay alert. paying attention. and remembering what happens when we don't pay attention..
