Its actually called normalcy bias, people think that because it hasn't happened to them it can't/won't happen to them....or even when the flood waters come in through their doors they just go up to the 2nd floor saying to themselves that everything is fine.

BTW didn't see any elk today.
One news reporter said they were only able to broadcast because of backup generators.

same here i made it around the point to the whole " het were college kids stuck in an elevator ..." part. it was getting kinda lame..i was tired and bored me.

let me guess the "prepper loading the burban full of green duffle bags was a tard " yes honey jamie your emo boyfriend can come along....if not he can stay on his own if he dont like it..".. lol

    The PrepperWitch Project

Luckily we had Walking Dead to watch afterwards to revive our attention span

I am glad to hear I was not the only one who could not make it through the entire show. The show lost me as soon as the "news reporter" said "gun violence was on the rise". In the show, the violence was caused by those who were not prepared. We saw the same violence erupt in real life in the wake of Katrina and it was instigated by those who were not prepared. Plain and simple. I will agree the show would be more of an eye opener for those not already of the prepping mindset but there was very little that anybody already involved in prepping would find useful. I will offer this bit of advice... do not doubt for one moment that the number of stupid people out there is small. IMO, anybody not currently involved in prepping is inflicted with a severe case of willful stupidity.

BTW, deer hunting update... I passed up on spikes on both Friday and Sunday.

I only got through about an hour of it before I was so bored I turned it off. It was recording so I may watch the rest later. While did point out just how fast things will get bad, much of it was just stupid - Oops, the electric locks won't work, now I'm locked out, or the powers been off for three days so I'll just stop at the ATM to get some cash. Yeah I know there really are people that stupid out there, I just don't want to believe there are that many of them. - - - I may need lots more ammo. Mostly I was bored stiff.

Maybe it will be usefull in that it will get some sheep off their butts.

It did have popups that gave factoids on how unprepared the electrical grid is and how much our society depends on electricity.

It also hits home on how quickly civilization breaks down.

The guy that was the prepper was kinda made to be a boob.

You'll have plenty of times to get to see it as I'm sure Natgeo will rerun it many times.

I won't be watching any of it again.

Ok so I watched this last night and while a lot of people probably liked it I myself did not.

It was two hours that I could have spent on something productive like combing my beard or picking lint out of my belly button. ;)

The worst part is knowing I can never get those two hours of my life back.

Then all you will need is a comfortable pair of rugged boots, good glass (binos & spotting scope), and leather gloves. If you ever get out this way let me know.

Oh, and water.... lots and lots of water..... we are in a desert after all.
